11/01 – Free Medicare Counseling presented by GNRC

The Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC or Regional Council) has scheduled an event to offer in-person Medicare counseling to the public for the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).  The event will be held on Friday, November 1, from 9AM to 3PM at the GNRC office in Nashville!

GNRC is part of a national network of State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP). SHIP is a Federal Administration for Community Living (ACL) grant program that helps states enhance and support Medicare beneficiaries through local programs, staff and volunteer counselors.

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is a set time each year for changing your Medicare coverage choices if you choose to. AEP runs from October 15 to December 7. New coverage choices go into effect on January 1.

Appointments are offered to Medicare beneficiaries to review and make changes to their Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year to better meet their needs.

Located at the GNRC Office, 44 Vantage Way, Suite 450, Nashville, TN 37228

To sign up for an appointment, visit gnrc.org/MedicareSignUp or call 615-862-8828.

Additional events will be hosted throughout the region at local senior centers. A full list of dates and locations can be found at gnrc.org/MedicareEvents

Community members can also call the statewide SHIP helpline to receive counseling over the phone: 877-801-0044
