The Step Up and Pitch It Summit 1.0 will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 2-3, beginning at 9:00am at the Atlanta Technical College Dennard Conference Center, 1560 Metropolitan Parkway, Atlanta Georgia 30310 and the goal is to offer seasoned writers, creative talent, excited novice and storytellers a chance to pitch their screenwriting projects and film and tv ideas to industry experts who can make something happen!
Friday, November 2, starts with a prominent industry executive as the keynote speaker. We are excited to have Georgia Film Commission’s Lee Thomas, who will facilitate a panel discussion with a dynamic group of industry pros to talk about the “State of the Film and TV Industry”. Panelists include Roger Bobb, Dianne Ashford, Jason Hoch and Donald Albright.
Four workshops will be conducted by industry presenters to provide further insight into production, podcast, finance and legal aspects. The day will end with a reception sponsored by the City of Atlanta. In addition, a highlight of Friday’s event is to award a film student competitor a $1,000 scholarship during the collegiate Pitch Competition while a mature 55 and above in the industry will also compete for a $1,000 prize.
