Released earlier this year was Stellar Award winner Marvin Sapp’s new album “Close” and now its nominated for a Grammy as Best Gospel Album. The album entitled single encourages listeners to hold on to their faith during circumstances versus allowing their circumstances to overtake them. Sapp told ABC Radio, “What I’ve learned is that the reason why the enemy intensifies his attack against us is not because we’re at a distance, but it’s because we’re close, so I wanted to call the album Close just to encourage people, to let them know that no matter how crazy it may seem to be right now in your life, that you’re not at a distance from what God promised.” The other nominees include Sunday Song by Anita Wilson, Let Them Fall in Love by CeCe Winans, Crossover by Travis Greene, and Bigger Than Me by Le’Andria Johnson.
