A California judge has slowed down the harassment lawsuit against Lizzo.
In 2023, Lizzo’s former tour company stylist, Asha Daniels, sued, alleging sexual harassment, racism, unpaid overtime, and a hostile work environment.
On Monday, Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha granted a motion to partially dismiss the harassment claims because the alleged actions took place in Europe, outside of U.S. labor law jurisdiction.
The judge also said Daniels didn’t prove that she was owed overtime.
