Man accused of murder in deadly Hermitage shooting

Metro Nashville Police officials arrested and charged 24-year-old Brandon Jenkins murder. He’s accused of murdering of Anthony Goodall on June 30th. Jenkins was arrested in La Vergne Tuesday night. A grand jury returned the indictment. Investigators say Goodall was shot as he walked to a room at the Super 8 Motel on Princeton Place in Hermitage. According to police, there are more arrests to be made.


WILSON CO SCHOOL CLOSED DUE TO ILLNESS

Wilson County Schools will be closed the rest of the week and on Monday due to illness. The school district said via social media that the closing is “out of an abundance of caution.” All “Kids Club” activities will also be closed. The school district says that they’ll use the time to clean and disinfect the buildings.


WOMAN DIES AFTER CUMBERLAND CRASH

A woman died after a crash at the bridge over the Cumberland River in Old Hickory last night. The crash happened on the bridge on Old Hickory Boulevard that connects Old Hickory to Madison. Her car went airborne and landed at the foot of the bridges, just before entering the Cumberland River. The woman was sent to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where she died from her injuries. USCMA signed into law, considered victory for Trump administration

Yesterday, Donald Trump signed the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement into law. The deal will replace the 1994 NAFTA agreement and is considered a big win for the White House. The three countries originally approved the deal in 2018, but for more than a year, Democrats refused to approve it without improved labor and environmental standards. The trade deal is expected to generate more trade between the three countries.


2 arrested for alleged involvement in Maury County child sex trafficking ring

Two people were arrested by the Maury County Sheriff’s Office after being accused of sexually exploiting children. They’re looking for more information about Clinton Gransden and Michelle Klen, whose accused of running a child sexual exploitation ring. Investigators believe that several children in Middle Tennessee were exploited by Gransden and Klen. Some of the victims have yet to be identified. Gransden and Klen remain in the Maury County Jail.
