SHOOTING ON I-24

One person has been taken to a Nashville hospital with serious injuries after a shooting on Interstate 24 on Thursday afternoon. The victim was struck by three bullets in the back and leg after a dark two-door Nissan vehicle pulled up next to their car and fired five rounds. The victim was being transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. A second vehicle was struck by an additional round but no one inside the vehicle was injured, Greene said. Detectives are continuing to search for a suspect.


FINAL ESCAPE SUSPECT CAPTURED

Authorities have apprehended the fourth and final teen who escaped from the Juvenile Detention Center on Nov. 30. 17-year-old Brandon Caruthers was taken into custody at Arbor Hills Apartments in Antioch Thursday afternoon by a MNPD SWAT Team,  officers and Deputy U.S. Marshals. Metro police said 20-year-old Brandon Calderon-Sotelo and 19-year-old Catherine Woods were charged with being accessories after the fact and facilitation of escape in regard to Brandon Caruthers. Caruthers was arrested following tips provided through Crime Stoppers. A loaded gun, identified as an AR-15, and several boxes of ammo were also recovered from the apartment. Caruthers will be booked at Metro PD headquarters, and will then be transferred back to the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Facility.


Hendersonville Police arrest teen accused of committing two attempted burglaries

The Hendersonville Police Department has arrested 18 year old Frank Williams Jr.  in connection to two home burglary attempts. Williams was charged with two counts of attempted aggravated burglary and vandalism. Hendersonville Police responded to homes on Evergreen Circle and Mallard Drive and quickly identified Williams as the suspect responsible. He is currently being held in Sumner County Jail on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions Court on January 22, 2020.


Police investigating deadly Edgehill shooting

One person was shot and killed Thursday night in Edgehill. Metro Nashville Police officials say the call came in . from the 1000 block of Edgehill Avenue. Officials haven’t released any other details. I will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.


FINAL VOTE ON ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT TO HAPPEN THIS MORNING

After 14 hours of heated debate yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee chairman unexpectedly wrapped up the lengthy hearing  and announced that the final vote on articles of impeachment against Donald Trump will take place this morning. Democrats decided against the late-night vote on such a big issue, partially because they did not want Republicans to call them out for trying to push impeachment through in the middle of the night.
