Nashville man convicted for starting multiple fires

William Spencer Warner has been convicted for setting fires in Nashville. He was first arrested in June of 2017. After he was interviewed, he was turned over to federal authorities for terroristic threats. In January of this year, Warner set fire to the former Haddox Pharmacy in the 1500 block of Charlotte Pike. He pleaded guilty to two counts of arson.


Warren challenges Biden in bid for black wom

Sen. Elizabeth Warren made a pitch to black women in a much-hyped speech  on Thursday night as she tries to tear into former Vice President Joe Biden’s durability with black voters. Black women, the Democratic Party’s most loyal voting bloc, led every part of the program with the exception of Warren herself. Other campaigns are also trying to crack Biden’s lead with black voters. Warren’s speech came after two of her opponents — Mayor Pete Buttigieg  and Sen. Bernie Sanders— visited the historically black Morehouse College in Atlanta this week.


Three men charged after Clarksville police discover check fraud equipment

Police have  charged three men after equipment, material, and software were discovered for creating fraudulent checks. Dajhaye Noel and Isaiah Craig were booked into Montgomery County Jail and charged with criminal simulation, simple possession, unlawful drug paraphernalia, and criminal conspiracy. Their bond is set at $34,000. Javier Noel was charged with criminal simulation, simple possession, unlawful drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy and fugitive from justice. His bond is set at $284,000. None of the men are Clarksville residents.


36 students sent to the nurse after pepper spray incident at Donelson M.S.

Metro Nashville Public Schools confirms 36 students at Donelson Middle School were sent to the nurse on Wednesday after an incident involving pepper spray. While some reported coughing and/or difficulty breathing, the students were checked out by the school nurse. MNPS says parents were notified, and there were no serious injuries.
