18th Annual Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival

The summer of 2018 will welcome the 18th Annual Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival celebrating the vitality of the Jefferson Street community through its arts, music and food culture.  This 2-day event, brought to you by the Jefferson Street United Merchants Partnership (JUMP), will kick-off with our SoBro Block Party at 5th and Demonbreun Street on Friday, June 15, 2018 and concludes with a day long music, arts and food festival featuring local and national jazz and blues artists and food and retail vendors from the North Nashville community on June 16, 2018.

With thousands of attendees, each year, the Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues festival builds cultural awareness, attracts diversity and commemorates the historic Jefferson Street Corridor through the sounds of jazz, blues, funk, gospel, soul and R&B.  Not just a music festival, this 2-day event pays homage to the historic treasures and challenges that make the Jefferson Street community a unique and vital part of Nashville.

Friday Night – Bridging the Gap Mixer: SoBro Block Party!
Friday, June 15th – 4pm-11pm

This one of kind event brings together artists and entertainment, as well as vendors, for a night full of great musical performances from Nashville’s hottest artists covering jazz, R&B and blues music. The Mixer’s move to 5th Ave S., signifies an opportunity to bring the party closer to Broadway—the pulse of downtown Nashville—and into the blossoming SoBro community.

JJBF alums, William Davenport, Wendell “Bizz” Bigsby-Church and Everyday People are the headliners on Friday.

 

Saturday – 18th Annual Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival – Bicentennial Mall!
Saturday, June 16th – 3pm-11pm

The festival will be held in one of Nashville’s most visited treasures, the Bicentennial Mall Park.  This location embraces the Germantown Community, promotes the Farmer’s Market, and provides an opportunity to showcase Jefferson Street businesses on the east, near Rosa Parks Boulevard.  Vendors will line the streets of the park and provide a variety of delectable food and product selections.

This daylong event celebrates the influence of African American music on American culture.  The musical event features multiple stages set throughout the Bicentennial Mall filled with vendors, food trucks, a customized Children’s Pavilion, and much more.

Festival-goers can enjoy tunes of jazz, blues and R&B from local artists and headliners such as Herchel Bailey and Dave Pomeroy.
