The 47 year old singer and all around diva is being sued after cancellation of shows back in October of 2016. In court documents obtained by The Blast, the star canceled performances in both Chile and Argentina and the promoter for both, FEG Entretenimientos S.A, is seeking $500,000. When the shows were cancelled Cary tweeted, “Devastated my shows in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil had to be canceled. My fans deserve better than how some of these promoters treated them.” This led to an even more high priced lawsuit at the tune of $2 million as the promoter feels the comment was “’knowingly false and defamatory.”
This isn’t the Obsessed singer’s first time being sued as her production company is being sued by a nonprofit choir for allegedly failing to pay a $4,000 security deposit for them to perform at the Beacon Theater, then canceling the show. The choir is seeking $67,500 in damages. Also she is being accused of sexual harassment by a former bodyguard that’s also wanting to be paid for an unpaid invoice.
