Kendrick Lamar fans get ready to celebrate with some new music as he will coproduce Black Panther: The Album. In a statement he released to the press he stated, “The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I’m truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside Ryan and Marvel’s vision.” The film will feature actor Chadwick Boseman as a superhero defending his African home from the evils that try to afflict his country. This will be Lamar’s first time producing and performing for a major film but director Ruan Coogler is confident in the Humble artist and had this to say, “I am honored to be working with such an incredible artist whose work has been so inspirational, and whose artistic themes align with those we explore in the film. I can’t wait for the world to hear what Kendrick and TDE have in store.” On Thursday, Kendrick released a sneak peak of what’s to be expected with song All the Stars ft. SZA, check it out here
