Showtime will air a brand-new drama series following the lives of different African American individuals as they push through the south side of Chicago where gun violence is common and the actualities of reality depends on the perspective. The show was created by Emmy award winner Lena Waither and co-produced by Academy Award winner and rapper Common who are Chicago natives and hope to bring in their personal experiences It is clear that everyone involved strives to change the stereotypic view many have on the streets of Chicago and present it in different lights depending on the life shown. The trailer alone will have you excited as every angle has you never knowing what to expect making this a show to definitely check out next year. Actors featured in this show includes Straight out of Compton star Jason Mitchell and Moonlight’s Alex Hibbet along with The Wire’s actress Sonja Sohn.
