It seems that women are coming out the woodwork with sexual assault allegations against celebrities. The latest comes as a surprise to many. Music mogul, Russell Simmons has vehemently denied allegations against him that he made aggressive sexual advances, and penetrated Keri Khalighi while she was in the shower over 26 years ago. Khalighi was 17 at the time, which is the consent age in the state of New York, but she says it was without her consent. Simmons is a big supporter of the #metoo campaign, which was started to denounce sexual assault and harrassment. He says ‘The only difference in this situation is that it is false.” Simmons has provided three different witness statements to the LA Times, and the documents show discrepancies between the statements and Miss Khalighi’s statement. An investigation is under way.
