Michael Jackson’s Family Honors Him on Anniversary of His Death

By DAVID CAPLAN

La Toya Jackson was among the Jackson family members who took to social media this morning to honor the seventh anniversary of her brother’s death.

Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, in Los Angeles at the age 50.

In recent weeks, a new crop of salacious rumors have plagued his legacy. La Toya made a nod to this, by pleading with fans to let the “Thriller” singer rest in peace.

She posted a photo of Michael on Twitter, writing, “Please! May We All Let Him #RIP! #MichaelJackson The #KingOfPop June 25, 2009.”

Michael’s nephew Taj Jackson followed suit, tweeting, “7 years ago we lost one of our brightest lights and it has been a darker world ever since.

By the way, this video may be a Michael Jackson fan tear-jerker.
