Patti LaBelle Is Performing On The 2016 Fantastic Voyage, Talks Release of Diabetic Friendly #PattiPie & 10 New Products

Much talk about Patti LaBelle the last week has been about her famous Sweet Potato Pie that has flown off the shelves, largely in part to one review that went viral. But before the #PattiPie craze flooded our social media pages, the legendary singer has always been known for not only that killer voice, but her incredible journey through music and life. Perhaps it’s the reason she was tapped by Oprah to star in an episode of Master Class.

Patti talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about everything Sweet Potato Pie related, her work with the LUNG FORCE Initiative and how she’s working with the American Lung Association on to help raise funds and awareness for lung cancer and of course her performing on the 2016 Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage.

“I’m so excited about the Cruise and I’m not kicking flip flops, I’m kicking off shoes,” she said.

On the shortage of her #PattiPie:

“They’re not totally sold out. You can go to Walmart.com. God has blessed me to have this. I expected this. You say you expect this because your product is so great.”

How the deal came about:

“It’s been in the works for years. My son is my  manager and he has been working with different people for a long time. I’m not going to say what, but we have 10 more products coming soon.”

Be sure to catch Patti’s episode of Master Class premieres this Sunday, November 22nd on OWN at 8p/7p CST.
