Sean “Diddy” Combs is on the move. Nearly a month after being sentenced to four years in federal prison, the music mogul has been moved from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center to a low-security federal prison in New Jersey.
The 55-year-old will now serve the remainder of his 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix. Diddy had requested the transfer, citing the facility’s drug treatment program and its proximity to his family. His legal team says the move will support his rehabilitation and recovery from substance abuse. Diddy is expected to be released in May of 2028, though that date could change depending on good behavior and the results of his legal team’s appeal.
