Snoop Dogg has decided to cancel a concert down under after the promoter was caught sexually assaulting his children’s babysitter.
Just days before Snoop was set to take the stage in New Zealand, he withdrew from the event planned for the Due Drop Events Centre in Auckland this weekend. The rapper took a stand after it became public that promoter Pato Alvarez was found guilty of two charges back in 2023.
The company that hired Snoop for the gig addressed the change in plans by issuing a brief statement. 4Ward Entertainment says, “Due to circumstances beyond our control, Snoop Dogg will no longer be performing in Auckland this weekend. We apologize to all fans who were looking forward to the show on Saturday. We understand the disappointment and inconvenience caused. Our goal was to deliver a first-class, New Zealand-first show and we are saddened this is no longer possible. All refunds will be processed automatically by Eventfinda. This will take 2-5 days depending on your bank.”
