Carson Daly is stepping down as host of “The Voice” after 15 years and 30 seasons to focus on family and manage his schedule better, especially with commitments to “The Today Show.”
Keke Palmer has been selected as the new host for Season 31 of “The Voice.”
Kelly Clarkson was in consideration to replace Daly, but ultimately could not schedule her commitments to make it work, paving the way for Palmer’s appointment.
Palmer’s previous success as a guest judge on “American Idol” contributed to producers choosing her, as they were impressed by her charisma and rapport with contestants.
Following Daly’s departure from hosting, he will remain involved with the show as a producer.
“The Voice: Celebrity,” a new iteration of the show hosted by Palmer, will feature a mix of contestants from various entertainment backgrounds, including actors and athletes.
