It looks like Diddy’s projected release date from federal prison has reportedly been moved up once again. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul is now expected to be released on January 24, 2028. That’s another change from his previous projected release dates of April 25 and February 23, 2028, which had already been moved up from his original expected release date of October 2, 2028.
The Bureau of Prisons hasn’t publicly explained why Diddy’s projected release date was moved up again. However, inmates can receive time off their sentences through good conduct credit and by participating in certain prison programs. The updated release date also comes just days after reports surfaced that Diddy was involved in a physical altercation with another inmate at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Meanwhile, Diddy’s legal team is still fighting to overturn his conviction through the appeals process. If his appeal is unsuccessful, the Bureau of Prisons currently projects that he will be released on January 24, 2028, though that date could change again.
