Angela Simmons opened up about her decision to remain a virgin until she was 28.
She said faith, family, and self-discipline heavily influenced her choice to practice abstinence. Her journey began between the ages of 17 and 18.
Her father, Joseph Simmons, originally encouraged her to wait before becoming sexually active.
Simmons said that advice stayed with her. A church service about waiting until marriage later reinforced her commitment.
She admitted her situation became uncommon as time passed. She recalled thinking, “Dang, I’m 28. This is crazy.”
Simmons ultimately lost her virginity to her former fiancé, Sutton Tennyson. He was tragically shot and killed in 2018.
She concluded she has absolutely no regrets. She stated that removing sex allowed her to build deeper emotional connections and truly get to know people.
