Two of Hollywood’s biggest powerhouses are officially joining forces with Lifetime.
Queen Latifah and Taraji P. Henson have signed on as the network’s newest creative partners.
Queen Latifah will executive produce three brand-new original movies. She is working alongside her long-time partner Shakim Compere through their company, Flavor Unit Entertainment.
Taraji P. Henson is set to produce two original films of her own. Her company, TPH Entertainment, is partnering with Fox Entertainment Studios to bring these stories to life.
These two icons join an elite group of Lifetime partners. They now share the ranks with other superstars like Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, and Robin Roberts.
Programming head Elaine Frontain Bryant praised the move. She says both women “share Lifetime’s passion for telling powerful stories about women.”
Specific details on the new movies are still under wraps. However, the network says fans can expect a fresh slate of “bold, female-driven storytelling” very soon.
