The trial of the man accused of murdering Migos rapper Takeoff is scheduled to begin on November 9th, with jury selection starting on November 5th.
Patrick Xavier Clark is charged with murder and has maintained his innocence, asserting that he did not fire the fatal shots; however, prosecutors claim surveillance footage shows him firing a gun toward a group of people during the incident.
Takeoff, whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed on November 1st, 2022, during an argument following a dice game at a private party at a Houston bowling alley.
Two other individuals were shot during the same incident, with one woman surviving a shot to the head.
The shooting occurred early in the morning around 2:40 a.m., and authorities indicated that Takeoff was an innocent bystander and not participating in the argument or the dice game.
Clark was arrested a month later and has been out on a $1 million bail since, pleading not guilty to the charges.
