Bill Cosby has admitted under oath that he obtained prescriptions for Quaaludes specifically to give to women. The 88-year-old comedian confessed to receiving the powerful sedatives seven times during the 1970s. According to reports, the prescriptions were written by a gynecologist named Dr. Leroy Amar during poker games at Cosby’s home. This revelation emerged as part of a lawsuit filed by Donna Motsinger, who says she was victimized by the actor. Motsinger alleges that Cosby gave her a pill she thought was aspirin, causing her to fall in and out of consciousness. The doctor involved in the scheme reportedly had his medical license revoked in 1979. While Cosby’s attorneys are currently seeking to have the lawsuit dismissed, he has faced accusations from roughly 60 women.
