Ryan Coogler confirmed that Black Panther 3 is in development and will be his next film.
Marvel Studios chose not to recast T’Challa following Chadwick Boseman’s death. Marvel shifted the focus to other characters, with Letitia Wright’s Shuri taking on the role of the new Black Panther.
Denzel Washington revealed that Ryan Coogler was writing a part for him in the third film, which Coogler later confirmed.
Coogler said, “As long as he’s interested, it’s going to happen.”
The Black Panther franchise has been highly successful, generating over $1.3 billion globally and earning critical acclaim. The first film was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars and won three Academy Awards.
Chadwick Boseman will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 20, 2025, with the ceremony expected to be attended by Ryan Coogler, Viola Davis, and Boseman’s widow, Simone Ledward-Boseman.
