Cardi B is criticizing voters who backed Trump in 2024, saying he was “never for the poor,” regardless of race.
She says, “Donald Trump was never for y’all poor [MF-ers],” calling out his handling of the ongoing government shutdown and decision not to fund SNAP benefits for 40 million Americans. Cardi argues that Trump used immigration as a scapegoat for economic struggles, adding, “Now the immigrants are deported — who are we blaming for the fact we don’t even have food stamps?”
Though initially reluctant to vote, Cardi ultimately endorsed Kamala Harris back in 2024, later writing that Harris inspired her and “showed my daughters that anything is possible.”
