Soulja Boy is outright dismissing claims of sexual assault.
The rapper appeared in court on Tuesday, to address charges from a former assistant who accused him of sexual battery, rape, assault, false imprisonment, emotional distress, unpaid overtime, and a hostile work environment.
He said, “that’s a disgusting allegation. It sounds crazy to me. I did not do that.” The 34-year-old admitted to a sexual encounter with the woman when police showed up to his rental home to serve a search warrant, but maintained that it was consensual, and that “She didn’t push me or say stop, nothing like that.”
He previously denied that the woman who brought the lawsuit against him was his former personal assistant. He was then shown a video of himself shopping on Rodeo Drive in Jan. 2019, in which he can be heard asking, “Where’s [Doe]? Where’s my assistant?”
The woman eventually showed up with his bags. He explained, “We were in a public setting, and I didn’t want to refer to her as ‘blunt roller’ with cameras and people around. I thought it was more appropriate to call her ‘assistant.'” The rapper claimed he provided her with a place to stay, and she was tasked with “rolling weed.”
When the anonymous accuser testified last month, she said that Soulja physically, sexually and verbally abused her for months. The lawsuit alleges Soulja Boy punched her in the head “at least 10 times,” raped her several times, and locked her in rooms for days, while also depriving her of food.
