T.I and Tiny Cleared, No Charges Filed For the Alleged 2005 Incident

Rapper T.I. and his wife, Tiny will not be charged for an alleged incident that occurred in 2006. According to TMZ, prosecutors have declined to move forward with the case because it falls outside the statute of limitations. According to court documents, the incident occurred in 2006, meaning the 10-year statute of limitations expired around 2016. The accuser recently filed the report earlier this year, 14 years after the incident occurred.
This is the second case that has been thrown out due to the Statute of Limitations. Another woman came forward earlier this year accusing the couple of assault after meeting Tiny at the airport in Las Vegas and being invited to hang with the couple. Unfortunately for the accuser, Nevada has a three-year time limit for the filing of charges for most crimes.
Although this is good news for Tiny and T.I., the couple is still facing an uphill battle with Sabrina Peterson. Yesterday, it was revealed Tiny, and T.I. was looking to have Sabrina Peterson’s case thrown out. According to court docs, T.I. and Tiny requested LA Superior Court Judge David Sotelo dismiss a defamation lawsuit from Sabrina Peterson.
The judge denied the motion from Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., Tameka Dianne Cottle, and Shekinah Jo Anderson, claiming Peterson had shown a “probability of prevailing” on her claim against the trio. Following the news, Peterson’s attorney Tyrone Blackburn released a statement, “The case goes on—T.I., Tiny, as well as for Shekinah’s anti-SLAPP motion, failed, and Sabrina is entitled to get justice for the defamation that was visited upon her by the Harrises and Ms. Anderson.”
