Funkmaster Flex got liposuction on Instagram and nobody has recovered

It’s 2020 and nothing should surprise you by this point. Still, this story may make you raise your eyebrows.
Funkmaster Flex took to Instagram to go public about his weight loss journey and shared a video of himself undergoing a liposuction procedure. “Today I took a step I always wanted to try!” He captioned the post. The DJ had fat removed from his “lower stomach, armpit sides, and back.”
“No anesthesia, awake the entire time! I really enjoyed it! @drtonyperkins thank u! Home now sore alittle able to go back to work tomorrow!” After thanking his doctor and their staff for a seamless procedure, Flex ended his post by writing, “DO Y’ALL SEE THE FAT GOING THROUGH THE TUBE IN REAL TIME?”
After Flex posted the video, Twitter had a field day. For one, many users were quick to point out the music in the background. Whether or not it was intentional, it certainly added to the conversation. The song was “Ice Cream,” a single by Raekwon from Wu-Tang Clan.
“Funk Flex getting Lipo with Wu Tang playing in the background is the most wildest s*** I seen all year,” one user wrote.
“Funkmaster Flex casually getting Lipo while listening to Wu Tang in what seems to be his house is… On-brand for pandemic twitter/IG circa 2020,” another added.
“Can somebody tell me why Wu-Tang was playing so damn loud in that Funk Flex lipo video?” Another user wrote. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Flex got lipo, a tattoo, and a couple new records to spin all in the same spot.”
While the internet has had quite the time with Flex’s video, it proves one thing. Nothing in 2020 should surprise you.
