Ohio man sought for criminal homicide in Gallatin

Police in Gallatin have asked the public’s help in catching a homicide suspect. Police said that Cody W. Boettcher is currently wanted for criminal homicide. They did not provide additional details on the incident. Boettcher may be traveling in a 2015 black Chevrolet Malibu with Ohio Registration. Police said he is from Medina, Ohio and may be headed in that direction. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Gallatin Police Department at 452-1313.

Oklahoma Man Allegedly Shoots And Kills Daughter’s Black Boyfriend And His Cousin Upon First Meeting

TWo young men arrived at the home of one of their girlfriends to pick her up and go to the movies. They never made it out alive. Manuel Quezada, 47, allegedly shot and killed Albert Thomas, 20, and Dajon Ross, 21, after they arrived at his home in a neighborhood just outside of Owasso, Oklahoma. It’s unclear what led to the shooting, but family members of the victim say Thomas, who is Black, had been dating Quezada’s daughter for the past two years and hadn’t met her father, who is Hispanic, until the night of his death, He was booked into the Rogers County jail and is facing two charges of first-degree murder, and Mrs. Quezada is facing a charge of accessory to murder, Sheriff Scott Walton said, according to the Owasso Reporter.


JOHN COOPER NIXES BRIDGE

The long-awaited Gulch-SoBro pedestrian bridge — a languishing project overseen by three Nashville mayors — will be no more. Mayor John Cooper announced Thursday he is nixing the $18 million project and instead, will be using the money to maintain and repair existing bridges and culverts. The Charlotte Pike-Rosa Parks Boulevard bridge deck as well as the Shelby Bottoms Greenway Bridge are some of the bridges that will be receiving repair. About $9 million in total will be used for work on 52 bridges and culverts around the county flagged by Metro as needing priority attention


Mother demands MNPS steps up protection of their students

Three adults were banned from a metro Nashville magnet school after police arrest them, and three juveniles, for pepper spraying students in the parking lot. Lisa Good-Midgettsaid that metro schools is threatening the expulsion of her oldest, after her sons were pepper sprayed by adults on school property. She is demanding Metro Nashville Public Schools step up the protection of their students. Earlier in the school year, a mom was arrested for beating up a middle school age girl at a metro schools bus stop.
