We are proud to announce our very own affiliate DL Hughley from the DL Hughley show has picked up a new hustle. DL Hughley will be playing Dr. Hackett, a psychiatrist, on NBC’s new medical drama, Heartbeat.  Heartbeat airs tonight, March 23 @ 7pm, on NBC TV. Set your DVR’s now!
Heartbeat is a medical drama inspired by the life of Dr. Kathy Magliato. This drama follows Dr. Alex Panttiere (Melissa George, “The Slap”), an outspoken world-renowned heart transplant surgeon. This heart surgeon operates by her own rules fearlessly. She seeks to find balance in a racy personal life, managing a skeptical faculty, and creating new ways to push the boundaries of medical science, which is a full-time job in itself.

Hughley is a mogul in his own right in television, film and radio. A stand-up comedian to his core and one of “The Original Kings of Comedy”, he can be heard on our airways Monday through Friday as the host of his own radio show, “The D.L. Hughley Show,” which is syndicated to more than 60 markets across the country, including 92Q.

As the star and producer of his namesake television show that ran on ABC and UPN, “The Hughleys,” he is also well known for being astute and politically savvy in true comedian style.
