Twitter users have been coming for Keri Hilson's neck ever since she was accused of dissing Beyonce and Ciara on a 2009 remix of "Turnin' Me On," and now Keri is answering back.  She tweeted Tuesday that after "Years of verbal abuse from strangers all day long. Enough is enough!"

It all started when Keri tweeted -- to no one in particular -- "I guess sometimes you just gotta let people 'burn and learn.' And then deal with the pain of consequence on their own."  Of course, some Twitter users saw the note as an opportunity to taunt Keri, who then responded to them, "miss me with the drama."  That sparked even more nasty responses, including notes like, "They also missed you with a hit song or album" and "Like You Missed The Grammys?"

Addressing the put-downs, Keri tweeted, "It's TOO much!! Please! Is everything I tweet gonna be 'intentionally misinterpreted' as a statement abt someone/drama I know nothing about?"  She added, "You have no idea what your hateful words could do to someone's spirit..."

The backlash began a few years ago when people speculated that Keri was taking jabs at Beyonce and Ciara with the lyrics, "You can dance, she can sing but need to move it to the left...," adding that another unnamed performer should "go have some babies."  Keri denied that Bey and Ciara were her targets, explaining that she was speaking to anyone who had tried to diminish her shine.

In her tweets Tuesday, Keri writes, "As far as WHATEVER ur really mad about, I had my reasons..."  In another update, she adds, "As for my mistakes, God has dealt with me."  The singer writes that she's "at peace," and the "best is yet to come."

Keri has been working on her third album, the follow-up to 2010's No Boys Allowed.
