Alicia Keys' Set the World on Fire tour is officially underway, kicking off Thursday night in Seattle. The cross-country trek includes special guest Miguel, who tweeted that he couldn't wait to start the cross-country trek.
To give Alicia fans a sneak preview of his live performance, Miguel released a special video blog this week from his travels over the past few months. The clip, titled KALEIDOSCOPE DREAM EXPERIENCE: VOL. 1, includes footage from Miguel's time on Trey Songz' Chapter V road trip.
Alicia also released some special content just ahead of her tour launch. This week she shared a post on her website explaining why her "Brand New Me" song is so "deeply personal." She writes that the single, "really expresses how I feel at this time in my life."
Alicia says she's had to let go of certain people who had been in her life, and that's been challenging. "At times I’ve been so scared and unsure of how things would end up. I've been so angry I couldn't even breathe. Sometimes I was so hurt, I never thought I’d heal. But with every day of pain, I learned more and more and I grew stronger, wiser and better than I was before," Alicia writes.
Her Set the World on Fire tour will travel across North America, with stops in Vancouver on Friday and Oakland, California, on Sunday. The trek jumps over to the U.K. in the spring, with a show lined up for May 18 in Liverpool.
