Ernie is a native of Detroit, Michigan and began his radio career in 1979.  Along with his responsibilities as News Director and Talk-Show Host for 92Q, Ernie is also the PA Announcer for Tennessee State University, as well as The Voice of the TSU “Aristocrat of Bands.”

In his spare time, Ernie enjoys reading and cooking.

Households that qualify for the free cell service will receive a free cell phone; 200 free minutes of wireless service each month for local calling and long distance calling within the United States; free voicemail, call waiting & caller ID and free 911 access. Wilhoite states, “In this time of recovery, access to immediate telephone service is a necessity, specifically for those who do not have residential access due to the recent and unfortunate flooding.
