Bonnaroo Expected to Sell Out for 1st Time Since 2013

  • The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is on track to sell out for the first time since 2013.
  • Festival organizers expect to sell out all 80,000 passes for this weekend’s event.
  • The fest hit an all-time low in 2016, when it sold about 46,000 tickets.  
  • Bonnaroo takes place this weekend, June 13-16, in Manchester, Tennessee.
  • Post Malone, Childish Gambino, Solange and Cardi B are scheduled to perform.

MAN’S BODY FOUND ON THE ROAD

Eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 were blocked as police responded to a man’s body on the road. Metro Nashville Police officials say the man either jumped or fell from the Demonbreun Street bridge into on-coming traffic. He was hit by several vehicles and died on the road. We’ll give you updates as we get them.


TEENAGE SHOOTER SOUGHT BY POLICE

Metro Police are seeking assistance in identifying a teenage shooter who fired two shots, both of which struck the 41-year-old man critically wounding him  during a robbery just off Nolensville Pike. The victim and a friend had been shopping at the Discount Tobacco store at 15116 Old Hickory Boulevard just before the incident occurred. The 41-year-old man was rushed to surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is currently in critical/stable condition. Anyone that may have any information on this case, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.


Central Park 5 Awarded Additional 3.9M Settlement From NY State For Wrongful Imprisonment

*Two years after receiving a $41 million wrongful conviction payout from New York City, the Central Park Five collected an additional $3.9 million from the state. The settlement was for the economic and emotional ruin the five men endured caused by their imprisonment as teens for the 1989 rape and assault of a jogger in Central Park. Their convictions were later overturned in 2002.


THP SEARCH FOR DRIVER OF HIT AND RUN

A bicyclist was hit and killed Sunday, at the 4200 block of Old Murfreesboro Road in Wilson County and the Highway Patrol has asked for the public’s help in their search for the driver. The vehicle of interest may be a 2002-2007 Saturn Vue, or a 2005-2009 Chevrolet Equinox. Anyone with information that would help investigators find the driver was asked to call Tennessee Highway Patrol Nashville District Regional Dispatch Center at (615) 741-2060.
