MISSING TEEN FOUND DEAD

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported that the body of missing 19 year old Cameron Wilson from Smyrna, was found in Smith County on Sunday. Wilson’s body was found along Seabowisha Lane in Lanaster. Preliminary information suggests that foul play was involved and the case is being investigated as a homicide. We will bring you updates on this story as it develops.


Joe Biden Stretches His Lead In Iowa

Former Vice President Joe Biden is leading the crowded Democratic presidential field in Iowa, with Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders in a tight secondary grouping alongside South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete BUHH DI JIJ in the third poll of the first-in-the-nation presidential nominating state. Although Biden’s support registered at 24 percent — he has stretched his lead to 8 percentage points over Sanders. Sanders and Warren registered at 16 percent and 15 percent respectively, with Sanders’ support decreasing by 9 percentage points. Sanders narrowly lost the 2016 Iowa caucuses to Hillary Clinton.


TYSON FOOD RECALLING THOUSANDS OF POUNDS OF CHICKEN

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has announced that Tyson Foods, Inc. is recalling about 190,757 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken fritter products that may be contaminated with hard plastic.

The ready-to-eat chicken fritter products were made February 28, 2019.

The product recalled is

  •  8.2-lb. bags of “FULLY COOKED, WHOLE GRAIN GOLDEN CRISPY CHICKEN CHUNK FRITTERS-CN” .

LONGHORN SHOOTING SUSPECT TURNS HIMSELF IN

Michael Craft – the suspect in the Longhorn Steakhouse shooting Wednesday night – has turned himself in to police. He is being booked on two counts of criminal homicide. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Longhorn Steakhouse on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. James Ramsey, 37, and John Allgood, 53, were both fatally struck. The investigation is still ongoing.


CHURCH INTERN ARRESTED FOR STATUTORY RAPE

24 year old Benjamin Widrick,  A former summer intern at Long Hollow Baptist Church has been arrested for statutory rape of a student.

Gallaty said the abuse appears to have taken place last summer.The church was notified of the abuse in December 2018 and reported it to Gallatin Police.

One victim was involved, AND the pastor said,  that “it is possible” there are more victims, but they have had no other reports in the six months since reporting the initial case.
