Four Teenagers Arrested After Three Failed Armed Robberies
Four teenagers were arrested in Nashville Friday night for a crime spree that spanned several hours. Police found the BMW they believe the teens were using at 9:45 p.m. on West Iris Drive. Adam Mohamad, 17; Sakariy Mohamed, 17; Jamal Abdillahi, 19; and Amir Adam, 19 were found nearby after a short foot chase. All four have admitted their involvement in multiple carjackings and robberies. 2 are in juvenile county, the other two in Metro county jail. Both Mohameds later admitted to police their involvement in the carjacking. They are each being charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated robbery.
Jamal Abdillahi admitted to his involvement in the Discount Tobacco and Beer robbery. He is being charged with three counts of attempted aggravated robbery, vehicle theft, evading arrest, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held in lieu of $113,000 bond. The fourth suspect, Amir Adam, is being charged with vehicle theft, evading arrest, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is free on $3,500 bond. At the time of his arrest, Adam was free on $6,500 bond for his March 18th arrest for unlawful drug and handgun possession.
Nearly 200 MNPS Teachers, Staff Out Monday After Sickout Last Week
Today begins Teacher Appreciation Week and teacher protests are happening everywhere; and thousands of teachers standing up for themselves and what they believe they deserve. ANd that includes Nashville. Nearly 200 Metro teachers will not be at work again Monday. On Friday, more than 1,000 teachers called out. McGavock High School saw the biggest number of absences: 123 of the 141 teachers weren’t there. She says they support the teachers and realize we can’t improve the education system without them, which is why she urges leaders to listen to them. She wonders how we can expect teachers to give their all in the classroom when the morale is this low. She says teachers spoke loudly the day before the sick out but the leaders didn’t listen, and our students paid the price. So far, 166 teachers have called out on Monday for personal illness and 25 for family illness.

Man Charged With Murder After Allegedly Giving Woman Drugs That Led To Her Overdose Death
31-year-old Christopher Floyd has been charged for murder because of a drug overdose that led to the death of 33-year-old Sara Roberts. Roberts died at her home on December 23, 2017 due to acute drug toxicity from heroin, fentanyl, and alcohol. Floyd was taken into custoday without incident at his home on Batavia Street. His bond is $100,000.

She was last seen in Sugar Land, TX near Houston.Saturday night. Maleah’s stepfather claims that he, his two-year-old son and Maleah were abducted by three Hispanic men . The men reportedly assaulted him and afterwards he and his son were dropped off in the Sugar Land area, but the abductors kept Maleah and drove off. UPDATE-1: An #AmberAlert has been issued for Maleah. Her stepfather stated he, Maleah and Maleah’s 2-year-old brother were abducted by 3 males sometime Friday night (May 3) in north Houston. The stepfather and brother were dropped off in the Sugar Land area on Saturday night.
